Our History
Founded in 1968 by entrepreneurial surveyor, Donald Thallon,
DTS Queensland filled a gap in the market for a team of motivated, skills and highly professional services. 55-years later, we have evolved beyond surveying to become a multidisciplinary service provider, achieving results across sectors.
Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the small DTS team works on land development and subdivisions across southeast Queensland.
1Humble Beginnings
In the 1990s, DTS expands its services and operating regions. This leads to a larger team and skill set, with a dynamic model that maintains its focus on solutions-based services.
2An evolving offering
As the 2000s bring advances in technology and major mining and infrastructure projects, DTS expands and harnesses key technology for its clients and sectors. DTS is delivering services to diverse sectors and LGAs from north and central Queensland to southeast Queensland.
3Significant Growth
During the 2010s and into the 2020s, with planning now firmly ingrained into DTS’ suite of services, the team sharpens its focus on project planning and delivery, from the mining sector to award-winning development and legacy projects such as Brisbane Airport’s New Parallel Runway.
4Legacy building
Looking ahead to Brisbane’s 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, DTS is sharpening its focus on shaping the future of southeast Queensland where it all began for the business. The team is pursuing opportunities to support new and existing clients, and continue integrating its innovations, technology, people, and experience for diverse sectors and LGAs.
